Lovely. Absolutely wonderful. Thank you for the clear demonstration.
Try holding your right needle under your right upper arm, against your side. If I do regular knitting, that’s how I make sure the needle doesn’t drop.
hee. i use my tummy. which is currently happily squishy from eating chinese new year goodies.
the sound wasn’t clear so..
ru holding the string with ur mouth????
and crouchet needles???
Wow..
but it looks soooooo smooth and easy
:D
if i do that with crouchet needles i’ll injure myself
SalamZzz
OMG!
It looks so smooth.
I do the same thing… just with the left needle held securely while I do everything else with the right needle. I thought I was the only one… Glad to know I’m not. :O}
Couldn’t hear you at all, but loved you style. Never seen using the ‘thumb’ before. My only concern with this technique would be ‘no tension’, or too loose tension. However, before I dare criticize, I will give it a try. Thanks for sharing.
The yarn typically goes around the neck or is tensioned with a pin or hook placed on the check somewhere.
Thanks! Definitely looks easy enough. Will give it a try soon.
do you always knit with crochet hooks?
the thing that u were making looks soo smooth
Wow, thats like knit-crochet.
why are they knitting using crochet hooks
idk
I am pretty sure that this is the original way of knitting. Quite old. Where do you buy your needles with hooks?
In Portugal you can buy this kind of needle in any crafts store. Outside the country though, I have no idea… Sorry!
Thank you for showing us your technique. This is truly wonderful.
They’re crochet hooks, I think.
Yeah, they look like Tunisian crochet hooks to me.
I truly thought she was using crochet hooks. If she is I’m impressed.
Your way is smooth like a blanket…doesn’t even look knit =3
is that crochet hooks you are knitting with?
no, portuguese knitting needles are like this. They look like crochet hooks since they have a hook in one end. But they are long as regular knitting needles. So the portuguese knitting style is a bit different from the regular, thanks to these needles.
wow i never known that….those needles are neat i can imagine less frusteration of drop stitch by using those needles…i think im going to have to invest in some of those…
Those really look like Tunisian knitting needles… Those are like a combo of knitting needles and crochet hooks.
