This is a demonstration swatch to assist along with pineapple crochet patterns. The purpose is to give an understanding of how the pattern is done. It is not meant as a pattern of any sort. I am using a 4-ply redheart Acrylic in the demonstration. crochet-mania.blogspot.com

I also find myself referring people to your videos to learn to crochet. Thank you for your videos and you are doing a great service to those on the “net” that want to learn our wonderful art / craft / hobby of crocheting. People who don’t have somebody to teach them have you. Keep up the fantastic job!
Thank for watching and taking time to comment. I did a pineapple afgan several years ago and I still have it. Post a video or video picture once you get it made. I would love to see it.
I love it and am making a scarf… i’ll post a video response when I am done!!!! thanx!!! =] =]
I find myself doing the same thing, sharing it with people who are looking to learn to crochet. You sure have helped me lots in the last two weeks that I have now been crocheting. I never expected to already have a finished hat.
Thanks so much.
You are welcome. I didn’t realize that the resources, such as crochet magazines had become so scarce until recently. I loved Magic Crochet and Decorative Crochet. I would look every so often to see if the new edition was something I wanted. I have just realized that they are not on the shelf any longer.
You have a wonerful way of doing your videos. I learnt crochet absolutely on my own therefore when I made a poncho with shells it was amazing and now I am famous at home..thankz to you. Would you want to look at the final finished version?
God Bless
Thank you. You can post a video response. I would like to see your project.
Your video is beautiful, but it looks very
complicated since I am a beginner crocheter.
I have been utterly baffled and puzzled for YEARS and reading the design instructions for pineapple crochet patterns was gobbledegook. Your videos have done more to teach me in the past twenty minutes than I figured out in the past twenty years. FAB-U-LOUS!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
You are welcome, you are welcome, you are welcome.
Thank you for watching.
Thank you. I have a lot of less complicated tutorials if you are interested.
Thanks for your great videos, they have really helped me. Can you please show how to join rows of pineapples – perhaps with open mesh stitches or similar. You’re the Best,
Regards, Robyn.
Thanks, TWJ. It’s really helpful. The only thing I’m not sure about is how you would do this in the round, like if I were making a doily or something.
The instructions that you choose will provide the details.
Thank you ..really helpful and i will try it ..
are you using red heart yarn?
Probably. A lot of the yarn I had been using when I first started doing tutorials was scrap yarn with no label.
I enjoyed your video. I am making lace using the pineapple stitch. I have a question for you. What does this mean? (ch 3, skip next ch sp, shell in next shell) 3 times. Does this mean to shell in the next shell 3 times after chaining 3 and skipping the next ch space?
You are just the best!!! i’ve just started crochet 2 week’s ago,and watching your tutorials have made me learn so much!!!! 4 week’s later and im on my 3r’d hat now!!!! u should be on t.v showing your talent!!! So clear and to deatail.I’m loving it!!! Thank’s again tjw1963

Did you ever get answer to you question?
Can this stitch be used in making shawls?
Yes, you can incorporate the pineapple in to a shawl pattern.
