Afterwards, every individual Boeker product has left the Solingen plant with the trademarked tree symbol on it.

Now the largest assortment of high-quality knives available for both sportsmen and collectors are produced and distributed by Boker. Boker in Solingen has manufactured Cooper’s popular knives since 1983 when Cooper stopped making its own knives.

Cooper nobly restored the Boker trademark rights to the German Boker Company in 1986 which made them capable of being successful again in America’s very large market. At the same time, they established Boker USA Inc. in Boulder, Colorado.

The downside to the board is that the desert terrain tile only fits in the center of the board, which allows for less variety than the normalgame, and you have to turn the game board over to remove the tiles.

The parts for the game, settlements, roads and cities are made of hard plastic and have pegs in the bottom to keep them in place on the board.  The robber doesn’t have a peg, but should stay in the raised plastic of its terrain slot.

The cards look much like the regular game cards, only smaller.  The dice are hard white plastic with black pips.  There is also a fourteen page rule book that defines the rules clearly and has an almanac for good in game reference.  The book contains excellent pictures and examples and is very well made.

The travel edition comes in a box about 8 inches on each side and contains a tray to place the cards.  The size of the box makes it easily portable and the tray is another way in which the game’s design for travel is successful.  There are slots for each type of card in the tray.  The slots allow enough space for you to be able to slip your finger in to remove a card or cards.

There are also slots to hold the parts for each of four players and a center slot which keeps the dice, reference cards and the board parts which are used in the setup of the game.  The center slot can be used to roll the dice in game play and the cards are held securely in a small
space which is ideal for traveling.
